The Model 255 is an evolution of the first Prototype One watch I built. It’s been refined, whittled down, lightened, smoothed, nurtured but its essence as a simple tool watch remains.

The case is made of lightweight yet extremely tough 6AL-4v Titanium that is polished and bead blasted to give an even tougher exterior through work hardening.

The crown is my own design and manufacture. A chunky 7mm diameter for easy grip with or without gloves it screws down into a hefty 5mm titanium case tube that threads into the case. Three o-rings inside the crown provide water resistance which has been tested to 100m.

I’ve increased the size of the dial on the new edition, from 30mm up to a more expansive 32mm, The extra dial space allowed for larger hour numerals, the font designed in house, which are engraved a full 0.3mm into the dial and then filled with Superluminova Lume for easy timekeeping in any light conditions.

The snap ring case back design of the first edition has been replaced with a more traditional screw down arrangement. Never one to stick too firmly to convention I’ve moved the back o-ring to fit around the case back rather than under it. This allows for a thinner case while still employing an oversized 1.3mm cross section o-ring for superior water resistance. The case back is concave shaped for a more comfortable ride on the wrist and a 26mm sapphire rear crystal provides a window into the inner workings of the watch.

The dial and hands are protected by a robust and virtually scratch proof 1.5mm thick double domed sapphire crystal which arches up 1.5mm above the rim of the case. The inside of this crystal has an antireflective coating applied to ensure minimal reflections in harsh light.

Powering the Model 255 is the venerable Swiss made Sellita SW300 automatic 25 Jewel movement. At just 3.6mm thick, the SW300 design has been manufactured for decades and used in countless high quality brands.

20mm lug spacing means that straps are easy to find should you want to replace the Viton rubber strap shipped with your watch.
